We have recently been involved in the two stage price development works for a new crematorium in East Yorkshire.

At a meeting on Tuesday, 12 October, the East Riding of Yorkshire's cabinet gave approval to award a contract to to deliver the new state-of-the-art £9.6 million Lelley Fields Bereavement Project situated off Lelley Road, near Preston just east of Hull.

This exciting project involved the development of the first East Riding of Yorkshire Council-operated crematorium to offer people a fitting and sensitive place to commemorate their loved ones.

Planned features include two service halls, a new woodland, a memory walk and other areas for remembrance and celebration.

The project will start on site in winter 2021 and is due to be completed in early 2023.

We are delighted to announce that we have been appointed to provide Commercial Support on the £86.9M, A164 and Jock's Lodge Improvement Scheme. Commencing in early 2024 with planned completion in 2026, traffic congestion on one of the area's busiest routes will be improved, benefiting the whole of the East Riding and helping to grow the local economy, ensuring transport links are improved for future generations. The scheme includes the removal of the existing Jock's Lodge junction and the construction of: A new roundabout along the A1079 Hull-to-York road, and a new road connecting it with the Lincoln Way/Minster Way roundabout in Beverley, Two new roads, travelling northbound and southbound, which will connect the new A1079 roundabout with the A164 further south, near Coppleflat Lane, Bentley. The A164 will also be widened into a dual carriageway between Coppleflat Lane and the roundabout with the B1233 Harland Way, Cottingham. North of Coppleflat Lane, the A164 will remain a single carriageway but with A1079-bound traffic diverted on to separate new link roads. In preparation for the upgrade, the council has recently constructed a new roundabout at the junction of Main Street and Beverley Road, Skidby, including the creation of a new bus stop.

Hopefully this will allow us to provide services to some of the region's largest council-funded construction and infrastructure projects. Having worked on a wide range of similar schemes in the past, we feel our expertise will be of particular value to the Council. We look forward to working closely with them over the coming years.
